Dec. 6 – Mercury enters Capricorn. Mercury, the planet of the mind, the intellect, communication and travel, begins its journey through the sign of hard-working, responsible, efficient Capricorn. Now is the time for action. All of those to-do lists we’ve been making, the dreams that we’ve been hatching? With Mercury in Capricorn, we are inspired to take the necessary steps to make them happen. One step at a time. One day at a time.

Dec. 8 – Full Moon in Gemini. Directly opposite the Sun in Sagittarius, this Gemini Full Moon is about duality (light and shadow) and communication. Gemini encourages us to think logically. Sagittarius invites us to think with a broader perspective, looking for meaning and ideas that expand upon the here and now. Gemini is quite comfortable at home; Sagittarius wants to venture out and beyond.

This Full Moon in Gemini illuminates the feelings, thoughts, ideas that have been building within us, inviting us to express ourselves. We need to exercise extra caution and care. Think before we speak. Mean what we say; say what we mean and don't say it mean.

Since Gemini is an Air sign, it's easy to get caught up in our thoughts, thinking that we or others are all "good" or all "bad". Gemini calls us to accept the duality in ourselves and others, to see the light and the shadow, to learn to observe our thoughts rather than reacting to them blindly, to know that there is often more to what meets the eye or to what we may think. Stay calm. Stay curious. Ask for more information. Gain greater understanding. This will help to avoid drama, conflict and misunderstandings.

Dec. 10 – Venus enters Capricorn. Venus, the planet of love and pleasure, what we like and what we cherish, follows closely behind Mercury, and begins its journey through patient, disciplined, determined Capricorn. If we’ve been unclear about what we want or how we feel, in Capricorn, our desires and what is of most importance to us will be brought to light. Then with the energy of Capricorn, we will be determined to attain what we seek.

Take the time to be still, be present, nurture ourselves, become grounded and centered, coming into our divinity, listening to our heart and soul. Let Spirit be our guide. Listen and then act. Trust in that still, small voice that reminds us that we are precious and adored and so so loved.

Let us follow our heart, doing what we truly love in sacred service to others. We have within us the spark of the Divine, the power that creates worlds. We are Love, and with Love, we have the magic deep within us to make miracles happen. It’s time to set it free.
