Today, Feb. 5, we are having a Full Moon in Leo. Be sure to check out last week’s blog to learn more about it.
*
Feb. 11, Mercury (the planet of the mind, the intellect, communication and travel) enters the sign of Aquarius (the visionary, the humanitarian, the importance of personal freedom) at 6:22 a.m. EST and will be here until March 2.
*
Café Astrology says, “When Mercury is in Aquarius, we are hungry for knowledge and open to new and original ideas. We begin to think outside of the box, and our thinking becomes more progressive and objective. Our communication and thought patterns are spontaneous, somewhat fragmented, and liberal. This is a time when inventive thinking is at a peak.
*
We’re reasonable, finding it easier to separate intellect and emotion when assessing a situation. Although progressive-minded and receptive to new studies and information, we are not quick to sway from our ideas and beliefs. During this cycle, we take more interest in thinking that’s daring or original. As we envision a better future, we can come up with truly interesting ideas and concepts.”
*
With no planets in retrograde for the next little while, this is an exciting time because the energies are supporting some wonderful forward movement, encouraging us to pursue those hopes and dreams that we cherish. So it’s full steam ahead, even if we just take baby steps. Mercury will be the first planet to go retrograde again on April 21, 2023 in the sign of Taurus.
*
March brings tremendous change with planets changing signs. Saturn enters Pisces, Pluto enters Aquarius, and Jupiter and Chiron meet up in Aries. So February is an important month to wrap up any loose ends and to be clear on where we stand and where we’d like to go.

What does Mercury in Aquarius want us to know for our highest good? From Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle card deck, we are gifted with 33 – Chaos and Conflict.
Chaos and Conflict reminds us that there can be value in any chaos or conflict that we may be experiencing. So though Mercury in Aquarius can be an exciting time, filled with inspiration and exciting possibilities, we may also feel conflicted, hesitant to take that leap forward and trust in what lies ahead.
*
Colette reminds us, “consider the value of chaos that serves you well, as you become unmoored by it. Scattered to the winds, you leave behind the parts of yourself you no longer need and disperse seeds to reinvent yourself anew. … You may find yourself … facing a storm you feel you can't control. Yet every storm passes, and chaos leads to a reordering of things. Conflict provides a way to see more than one side of a situation. Look upon this as just a moment in time when you may need to take shelter and step away from the fray. … This is a time to understand rather than to be understood. … This is an opportune moment to learn about your values, your sense of self, what's really important to you. … Be reassured that there is Divine purpose in this chaos.”
*
It's important that we let go of the things, the situations, the people that may be holding us down, and that we don’t let fear keep us from moving forward. But what if we fall? What if we fail? Ah, my precious one, what if we learn how to fly? Believe in your beauty. Believe in your wings. Emerge and let yourself fly!
*
This reminds me of another of Colette’s cards 36 – Come to the Edge. The Oracle’s message: “Facing the unknown is the only choice you really have right now if you want to progress. It’s okay to be afraid. Now is the time to take a risk that is not calculated—to feel the exhilaration as you ready yourself for a leap of faith. Spirit is present, so let go of fear. You are called to express your true self. Listen to your heart and soul, not your head. Come to the edge and discover that you can fly. You must step into the unfamiliar so that you may find your miracles.”
*
Remember, we are not alone. Let us ask Spirit and our angels and guides for direction, and for the courage and strength that we may need to bring our hopes and dreams to life. We have been blessed with gifts and talents, hopes and dreams, a call to be of service to others in a way that only we can accomplish. No one else can do the work for us and no one else can do what we are being called to do. Will we say "yes" to the invitation?
*
We may want to ask ourselves...
*
What Divinely-inspired talents do we have that are meant to be shared with others?
*
Using our thoughts, feelings and beliefs, how do we envision our best life? What story do we dream of telling?
*
We are co-creators with Spirit. Open. Allow. Receive. Let us be open to the infinite possibilities that are in store for us. Exciting times indeed!
