Energy Forecast for the Week of Jan. 29, 2023

On February 5, we are having a Full Moon in Leo at 1:28 p.m. EST.

*

With our Full Moon in fiery, dramatic, creative, centre of attention, optimistic Leo, we may find ourselves seeking action, attention and results. If we've been feeling burnt out, spiritless, tired or uninspired, this would be a good time to meditate or to spend time with fire, gazing into its light and soaking in its warmth and energy. We may find that this will energize us and rekindle our passion for living.

*

Our Full Moon in Leo is a warm, generous, loving playful position that speaks to our "inner child". The pride of the Lion can keep us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and sharing how we truly feel. It's a time when we seek attention, wanting to stand out for our special gifts and talents. It's a great time to engage in creative activities, working and playing with our children, expressing our generosity, and taking risks. Be bold! Be proud!

*

The low road of Leo Moon: We are more self-serving, self-centered, arrogant or controlling. The high road of Leo Moon: We are more passionate, innovative, creative, open-minded, unbiased and fun-loving. Remember, the choice is ours.

*

And we mustn't be surprised if we find ourselves more easily in tune with our deeper issues. Leo is all about the heart. This Full Moon invites us to listen to our heart and soul, to embrace our truth, to surrender to what is, to speak our truth, setting up healthy boundaries, letting go of what is no longer serving us, especially where we may have been trying to please others, putting their needs first. This is a time to take care of ourselves. Embrace and nurture the child within. DO YOU! It's a call to be our authentic self, not what others expect us to be. That's where our true treasure lies. It's time to be rigorously honest and to act completely from our heart.

*

We must also be aware that whatever intentions we planted during the New Moon will now begin to grow and bear fruit, and we may find ourselves dealing with challenges or challenging people. It’s a time to re-examine our goals and ideals, and to see what’s working and what isn’t. How are the intentions that we set at our New Moon on Jan. 21 working out for us? Are there things that we need to tweak or change in order to reach our goals?

*

Have courage! Push through tough situations. Embrace any necessary changes. This can be a time of transformation, a wonderful time to discover the treasure in the challenges.

*

What does our Full Moon in Leo want us to know for our highest good? From Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle card deck, we are gifted with 11 – By the Book.

By the Book is reminding us this is a time for harmony and balance. It is not the time to be the rebel and to shake things up. Release resistance. It’s time to go by the book, instead of trying to break the rules or pressure others to conform to the way we want them to do things. It’s about finding the middle ground, allowing relationships to flourish while honoring the individuality of other people. By the Book also reminds us that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel. We can follow in the footsteps of those who have already achieved the things that we are striving for. We can learn a lot by observing the things that are already working.

*

These are the lessons to be learned from the conflicting energies that we may be feeling between our Aquarius Sun and our Leo Moon.

*

Aquarius is that part of us that is the humanitarian, the revolutionary, the eccentric, who is assertive, independent, inventive, has strong likes and dislikes and firm opinions, and likes to be alone and do things our own way. Aquarius is concerned with the larger issues of the world but remains detached in relationships.

*

Leo, on the other hand, is that part of us that is about pleasure, creativity, affection and love affairs, looking for fun and good times to make us happy, needing close relationships with others.

*

The Leo Full Moon illuminates this conflict and invites us to be the bearer of peace, harmony and balance. Enjoy the energies!
