Energy Forecast for the Week of May 14, 2023: Round and Round (Mercury Direct, New Moon and more!)

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to our energy forecast for the week ahead.

What do Spirit, our angels, guides, and light workers want us to know for our highest good for the week ahead?

From Colette Baron-Reid’s The Wisdom of the Oracle card deck, we are gifted with 25 – Round and Round.

Round and Round is about cycles we are challenged to break; it’s about revisiting a pattern from a new perspective.

Sometimes we may feel that we have taken steps backward, when the truth is that we are standing at a higher level, looking down at our circumstances. We will learn something, do something better, and break a cycle set up in the past. Seeing things from a higher perspective, we are able to access the wisdom and lessons learned.

We may find ourselves back in a familiar place, but that’s okay. We are being invited to see what we couldn’t see before. We will get to do things differently this time. If we do what we did, we're going to get what we got. We are wiser now and we have learned something of great value since the last time around. Now we have the opportunity to choose differently. The choice is ours.

From the guide book, “Prosperity message: This is a perfect time for you to look at the deeper motives you have and your attraction to the opportunities and people who have entered your life to be part of your journey to prosperity. Who helps you navigate? Who sabotages you? Who supports you? What are the familiar signs, and your responses to them, when you find yourself in a repeat pattern of the past? It's a good time to get a coach or mentor who can help you see what you can't on your own. Repeat what works, not what doesn't. Then you will free yourself from the old cycles and cease going round and round.”

This is an opportunity for a renewed commitment to ourselves ... being discerning, saying No to what we don't want, being receptive to what is possible, and slowing ourselves down so that we don't do anything impulsive. We will regret it if we make rash, overzealous, hasty, reckless decisions.

This is great wisdom considering all that is going on in the heavens in the week ahead. The sign of Taurus figures prominently, along with Mercury stationing direct, a New Moon, and the planets Jupiter, Mars and Pluto.

May 14 - Mercury turns Direct in Taurus

Mercury stations direct in the sign of Taurus on May 14 at 11:17 p.m. EDT!!! So if we've spent the last three weeks or so, mentally scrambled, misunderstood or indecisive, relief is on the way. Mercury rules or is in charge of things like transportation, communication and commerce, so when it is in Retrograde and not operating smoothly, there can be plenty of mishaps. It will still need a couple of days to regulate its orbit.

It would be wise over the next few days to take in rather than to take action, to hold off making any critical decisions just for a bit. Mercury needs a few days to get back up to speed. Gradually we'll find that recent problems with communications, travel and decision-making should begin to improve. Plans that have stalled may resume. Let's take it one day at a time and remember, easy does it. Baby steps!

May 16 – Jupiter enters Taurus at 1:19 p.m. EDT

When Jupiter was in fiery Aries, we may have felt the urge to take action quickly, having a sense of urgency in pursuing our hopes and dreams. As Jupiter enters Taurus, we are encouraged to take a slower pace, to be patient, grounded, centered, practical, and practice long-term thinking when it comes to the areas that Taurus favours: beauty, the arts, a great love of material comforts, good food, relationships, money, investments, simple pleasures, and the security of home. And we’re going to have a long time to work on this as Jupiter remains in Taurus until May 25, 2024.

In Taurus, we are able to catch our breath and to build upon what we have been working on, creating a strong and stable foundation for our hopes and dreams.

We are a beautiful work in progress and have everything we need to create the life of our dreams. Our foundation is based upon our beliefs, our values, our morals.

Now that we are coming out of the energies of Mercury Retrograde, are they still true for us? Is it time to strengthen our convictions and let go of the things that no longer serve the vision, the dream that we have for our life? Or have we chosen to ignore the signs that a situation or agreement we have entered into is not right for us? Now is the time to be rigorously honest with ourselves. Don’t be afraid to replace what is not solid.

Our dreams are Divinely inspired and Spirit has our back. We have more than enough and we are more than enough. Have faith.

May 17 – Jupiter square Pluto at 9:10 p.m. EDT

Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good fortune, is in conflict with Pluto, the planet of power and transformation. Uh-oh! What does this mean?

Remember, Jupiter is now in Taurus and is inviting us to be rigorously honest with ourselves, examining our core beliefs and values. Pluto encourages us to look at power and control in our life, inviting us to take action. Looking inward vs moving forward.

We may feel incredibly earnest, enthusiastic and determined in pursuing our projects and dreams, even taking on too many all at once.

Pushing too hard. Believing that we have all the answers. Imposing our beliefs on others.

We need to be cautious and not force things. Be gentle with ourselves. Really listen. Easy does it. Go with the flow.

May 19 – New Moon in Taurus at 11:53 a.m. EDT

May 19, our New Moon occurs at 11:53 a.m. EDT in the sign of Taurus, beginning a whole new manifesting phase. This is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of Taurus, enjoying the simple pleasures of life and those activities that put us in touch with nature and with our bodies. A time of abundance (good fortune, prosperity, love, health, creativity), Taurus is about "I Have". I have enough. I am enough. This is a time of gratitude, a time to discover what makes us truly happy and fulfilled, what makes us feel comfortable and secure, what is truly aligned with our Soul. We need to take the time to discover these things, and if needed, to be open to change, setting new goals, new intentions, planting those seeds so that we can reap a bountiful harvest. The time is now. Imagine it! Create it! And so it is!

May 19 – Mars conjunct Pluto

This can be an explosive, turbulent, emotionally-charged energy.

The high road of Mars conjunct Pluto: we are more tenacious, intent, purposeful, diligent, and hard-working in our efforts.

The low road of Mars conjunct Pluto: we may be overbearing, pushy, controlling, intimidating, or become crippled by fear.

Mars conjunct Pluto invites us to find the courage to question the power of systems, beliefs, ideologies, philosophies, principles, cultures, organizations, partnerships, and relationships built on fear.

We need to let go of the fears that paralyze, undermine, incapacitate us. We need to let go and let God. We need to embrace the Love that we are. That is where our true power lies, and with Love, there is no fear.

May 20 – Mars enters Leo

Bold and courageous Mars, whose purpose is to strengthen and to protect/defend, inspires us to let go of fear, to take that leap of faith, to express our true self, to be seen, to listen to our heart and soul, to move forward with authenticity, freedom, and courage.

With Mars in fiery Leo, we may find ourselves seeking action, attention and results. On the bright side, we are more exuberant, creative, open-minded, colourful and fun-loving. On the dark side, we may be more self-indulgent, self-centered, overbearing and bullying. The choice is ours.

Leo is all about our heart, and likes to remind us that with love, all things are possible. Mars in Leo helps us to easily connect with our heart, inviting us to recognize the Divine within us, to be grateful for all the abundant blessings that we have been gifted with, and to share these gifts with others. It's calling us to let our light shine for all the world to see.

If our inner light is weak, we may not have the courage and confidence to do this. Do not be afraid.

Keep in mind, we are much more than the past events of our lives. The light of the Divine within each of us is healing and transforming everything now. Accept that healing and transformation with gratitude. See the Divine within ourselves and in all of creation. Feel the newness, the rebirth, the joy that is ours to embrace. Welcome it with gratitude!

Remember, we have everything we need. We are being called to be true to ourselves, to recognize, treasure and celebrate the Divine within us.

We have the power to co-create our dream, our prosperity, our abundance NOW, with Spirit as our guide. We need to release our desire for an outcome and own that it already exists. Trust Spirit. Let us say "thank you" and receive with gratitude.
