Greetings, everyone! Welcome to our energy forecast for the week ahead.

I am so grateful that you are here. Welcome to my website!

*

In case no one has told you today, you are beautiful. Just the way you are. You are precious and adored and loved beyond all measure. You are valued. You are worthy. You are needed. You are stronger than you think. You are here for a reason. You are going to get through any challenges that you may be facing. Don’t give up before the miracle happens. You are not alone. You are safe and you are protected. And did I mention, I’m so happy you are here. I hope you will stay for awhile. Slow down. Take time to breathe. Put your feet up. Relax. Take this time for yourself. You are worth it. This time together is for YOU. Love gathers here and you are always welcome. And I hope that you will return.

Today I am here with the energy forecast for the week of September 10 – September 16.

*

What do Spirit, our angels, guides, and light workers want us to know for our highest good? Let’s see what Spirit has to say.

*

If you are looking for information on what is going on in the Heavens, I have created a list of some of the astrologers that I follow and have included it below, along with a link to one of their social media platforms. Many of them post on more than one platform…Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and have their own websites. A simple search and you will find them. But even simpler, I invite you to follow me on Facebook and Instagram, where I will continue to share their posts on my pages so you will find their information there as well…a one-stop shop so to speak.

This week I am excited to be working with Madeleine Walker’s Animal Whispers Empowerment Cards. I have had this beautiful deck for a long time, for quite a few years and have never used it. I suspect that it has been patiently waiting for me to be ready to receive its wisdom. Madeleine Walker is an international animal communicator, horse and rider trauma consultant and spiritual empowerment coach. She formerly worked in adult education, in the areas of holistic stress management and art therapy. Richard Crookes has created the stunning illustrations. Just a bit about the cards…Madeleine writes, “Each one of the animals has a profound message of wisdom for us to learn from. I am constantly amazed at their willingness to re-empower us and help us to reach our true potentials and fulfilment at this crucial time in the Earth’s history. It has been both humbling and awe-inspiring to feel their love for us. We have so much to learn from them about love, compassion and forgiveness – especially for ourselves. Let the animals whisper their messages of loving guidance into your heart and reclaim your power!”

*

And so now, let us ask Spirit/God/the Universe/Yahweh/Source/Creator/Allah/Brahma/Jehovah/our Higher Power,

“What empowering message do Spirit, our angels, guides and light workers want us to know for our highest good for the week ahead?”

*

From the guide book…

*

“Guilt compresses and constricts the capacity to move forwards. It enslaves you and inhibits your freedom. It is sapping your spirit, draining your divinity. Breathe deeply and let it go!

Guilt is one of the most troublesome emotions and can seriously get in the way of empowerment; continuing to carry the guilt about a person, animal or situation takes a lot of energy. It really serves no purpose except to weigh you down! Forgive yourself and become master of your thoughts instead of a slave to them. My beautiful dog Pillow gave me this sound advice from spirit, and it has served me well! Allow the guidance of our loyal canine friends to help you love yourself – they are the masters of giving love. As my terrier Teazle says, “Unconditional love leaves you hairy and smelling of dog!”

*

Let go of guilt; love unconditionally. I would also add, let go of shame, feeling less than, feeling like an after-thought, let go of anything that is not of Love.

I grew up in a family where the rules were "Don't talk; don't trust; don't feel."

And I learned them well.

Don't talk about family secrets...especially about my father's drinking, my parents' fighting; their separation... Don't trust. Don't feel. I went numb inside.

I could not be real.

When I was 7 years old, I was the go-between for my parents when they would not talk to each other. I thought that if I was "good enough" or "perfect enough", if I just tried "hard enough" that I'd have the power to bring my parents back together and that they'd do it out of love for me. Of course that did not work out, and I felt guilty, like I had failed the mission I believed I was to do.

I grew up very quickly...super-responsible, dependable, reliable, trustworthy, a perfectionist, a straight A student...super-serious. I didn't know how to play or have fun. I felt so old. At 8 years old, I felt like a 40-year-old midget with a facelift.

I took on the role of caretaker, the fixer-upper, the peacemaker...

That's what people saw on the outside. They never knew about the nightmares. They never knew of the loneliness, the sadness, the fear, the shame that was deep inside, how I felt like an afterthought, that I didn't belong.

The Guilt. I was one way out in public and another way at home. Feeling like a fraud. What would happen if people knew?

When I was 8, my parents separated, and I lived with my mother. She was my best friend and we were close. Home and school were my life.

I tried to be good, to help out, to be that perfect little girl that she could be proud of. I never felt good enough.

I was born and raised Catholic and in my late teens, I started getting involved with things at church. I started to develop close friendships AND I started to break those rules, beginning to share my story with friends that I trusted. I was beginning to grow. The more I opened up, the happier I was and the more "alive" I felt.

But as that happened, the distance grew between me and my mom.

I couldn't share with her like I used to.

And that's when I began to feel like a hypocrite. I'd be loving and kind, generous and helpful, with my friends "out in the world" and then I'd come home and be impatient and feel angry with my mom.

So at a young age, I learned that it was safer to hide...wearing the masks that I needed for the right occasion...for family, for friends, for acquaintances ... showing one face to the world and feeling totally different on the inside.

More guilt.

Being one way with family, another way with friends, another way with others.

Would the real Martina please stand up?

Then later in life…

Guilt for those times when I was a caregiver, when as a caregiver, I would lose my patience with my husband, get into needless, trivial, unimportant arguments with him, and during the tough times even think about leaving him, which of course, I couldn’t/wouldn’t do.

Guilt for those times when I didn’t listen to the still small voice within me, ignoring the call of my heart to take care of myself, to put my needs first, not out of selfishness, but out of the need for self-love and self-care. We can’t give from an empty cup.

That wasn’t my job. Nor was it my job to try and keep my parents together, thinking that if I was good enough, if I was the perfect student, making them proud, then they would stay together.

Living by the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Putting the needs of others ahead of my own. But I had forgotten, the greatest commandment: Love your neighbour as yourself. I was pretty good at loving my neighbour, but I did not hear or remember the “as yourself” part.

But… that was then and this is now. It's not about forgetting the past. It's about feeling into and trusting in God's faithfulness in our present. To be thankful for the lessons learned. To quote Maya Angelou, “If you must look back, do so forgivingly. If you will look forward, if you will look forward, do so prayerfully. But the wisest course would be to be present in the present gratefully.”

It’s time to let go of the guilt, the shame, the feeling of responsibility, to give it back to where it belongs, to the Creator, to Jesus, to put it back into His hands. It was never my job to take on. So today is a new day. It’s time to let go, to let God, to move forward, to love unconditionally. It’s a brand new day.

This empowering message from The Dog – Let go of guilt, love unconditionally was for anyone who happens to read or listen to it. Now, let’s make this more personal. I invite you to tune into your intuition. Let go of all worries and distractions, just for this short time.

Let’s gather our energies and come back to our heart. Hand on heart, breathe slowly and deeply, and take a look at these 3 cards. Which one is calling to you? Ask yourself, “What message, what wisdom, does Spirit have for me for the week ahead?

Do you feel called to card #1?

Or does your intuition say YES, it’s card #2?

Or does your intuition say nope, it’s card #3?

Card #1 is from Kyle Gray’s Keepers of the Light oracle card deck.

Freya – Phases and Cycles

“There is a beginning within every ending. Illusions are revealed and released.

* A phase of your life may be coming to an end, but it's important to acknowledge it's not THE end. When one door closes, another opens. You may have been desperate for change, but now that it's here, you could feel vulnerable. Know that the mighty goddess Freya will guide you. Illusions are now being revealed so that you can leave behind anything that is false, step into your peaceful warrior-like energy and welcome the changes you deserve. Tie up all loose ends and take heart. This is an exciting time.

*

About: Freya, which means 'Lady', is the Norse goddess of the moon and love. She is the twin flame of Odin and a warrior goddess who offers deep spiritual and physical protection to those who call on her. She will stand before you with her shield and spear, keeping you safe from harm. She works closely with moon energy and helps us recognize that our life is a cycle that is always changing. She herself is the maiden, the mother and the crone aspect of all women and guides them to see the wisdom these cycles bring. We all go through phases and cycles of growth, and Freya is the energy that supports this. She has a raven spirit totem, which is said to represent her capacity to travel between heaven and Earth.”

Card #2 is from Colette Baron-Reid’s The Spirit Animal Oracle card deck.

*

37 - Lion Spirit

“Be generous of spirit.

*

Oracle Message: A healthy ego means you ease God’s order instead of edging God out. Lion Spirit’s appearance is a reminder that you have been given the gift of pride and a healthy sense of your worth to express your divine, authentic self in a unique way. You are both the king and the queen, secure in your prosperity and wisdom and generous of spirit as you help others. Take pride in your ability to serve from the heart. Contentment with what you have, right now, allows you to use your resources wisely as you give to others in ways that educate, heal, inspire, and delight.

Be proud yet humble. Practice gratitude, and you will find that the accolades that come to you are no match for the joy of knowing what you have been able to do for others through expressing the bounty of generosity within you. Lion Spirit knows there is a great savanna before you and many who will benefit from the healthy expression of your unique set of gifts if you choose to work in partnership with Spirit. All your relationships flourish as you express your worth and generosity of spirit with humility and kindness. What a blessing you can be to all!”

*

*

Card #3 is from Marcela Lobos’, Colette Baron-Reid’s and Alberto Villoldo’s Mystical Shaman Oracle card deck.

*

42 – The Rainmaker

THE ESSENCE: The Rainmaker is the master of manifestation, who can call on the elements of nature to serve the greater good. When the power to co-create is used with integrity, great beauty and benefit flow to all. When this power is used for personal gain only, everyone suffers. When the earth is parched, the Rainmaker calls the waters from the heavens, and all that is dormant in the fields and in people’s hearts springs to life again. THE INVITATION: The Rainmaker is calling you to create something new from the elements that are already in your life. Be sure you work with what is, and not with what might be or could have been. The seeds that have been silently germinating in your heart will burst forth ready for the sunlight. Do not hold back; put all your chips on the next roll of the divine dice! THE MEDICINE: Recognize how you are co-creating your world—nothing is happening “out there” without your involvement. Remember that the world is only mirroring back to you the condition of your love and your intent, so change these within before you take any action. Do not take life personally.”

*

*

May these interpretations be a guide. Allow understanding to unfold within you. Honour your individual wisdom from within over the coming week, as you open yourself to the message of the card that you have picked. Stay open and curious, and listen to the still, small voice from within that you can always rely upon. Trust Spirit!

*

*

Wow! Such beautiful, powerful messages!

*

*

No matter where we are on our life’s journey, Spirit/God/our Creator/the Universe is always with us, loves us dearly, and only wants the best for us. We are Divinely guided and protected.

Finding the treasure in the challenges... That's what I try to do and I can help you do it too.

I would be most honoured and happy to be of service to you.
