It’s taken me a number of years, but I’ve come to believe that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. What I’ve learned is that God is within us, and from the moment that we’re born, it’s like we have amnesia ... we’ve forgotten where we’ve come from, why we’re here, and we spend most, if not all, of our lives trying to get back to Source/God/our Higher Power. That’s where we find our purpose. Only Love itself can fill the emptiness and ache that’s in our hearts. It’s a journey of coming Home, to Life, to Love. It’s remembering who we are, children of the Divine.
In 2015, I found myself happily retired. It was great at first, but after a period of time, I felt lost, without a purpose. What was I going to do? What did Spirit want me to do? What was my purpose? How could I be of service to others? I needed to "do" something.
I searched and searched.
I was led to studying oracle cards, which helped me get in touch with my intuition, my inner knowing. For me, oracle cards are another way of communicating directly with the Divine, just as prayer, meditation, Scripture, and journalling can be. Not used to predict or tell the future, they are meant for us to see ourselves, the truth of where we are at, and to help us co-create with Spirit/Source a meaningful, fulfilling life. They can tell a story in motion, and where we may be headed. We always have the freedom to choose, and can change direction and course correct any time we want to.
Then I was led to studying astrology, teaching me that Source/Universe/God/our Higher Power/Spirit uses all of creation, yes even the Sun, Moon, stars and planets to help us remember who we are, where we've come from, and to help guide us Home. Astrology can be a tool to help us fall in love all over again with the gift that God created, to see ourselves the way that God sees us, in all our glory and imperfections, and trust that we are not a mistake. Astrology can help us find the treasure that’s in the challenges and struggles that we face. It can help bring us Home.
This is only one of the many gifts that astrology has given me.
Stars and Cards! Amazing! I never knew how SPIRITUAL astrology and oracle cards can be!
Both have helped me to discover the treasure within; one of the reasons why I LOVE using both of these incredible gifts and want to share them with others.
Stars and cards were leading me on a journey Home to the Source of all Life and Love, not somewhere way out there, but in fact, deep within ME!!!!
In 2017, I started receiving an inner nudge to stop taking oracle card and astrology courses and to start doing readings, to be of service to others. I started a business, Finding Treasure: The Journey Home through oracle cards and astrology, naming it after one of my beloved fur babies, Treasure, who had passed away. I started doing readings, but then the requests stopped coming in.
Time to work on me again. I was feeling stuck. I had tried meditation, prayer, journalling, studying, taking courses... I had been searching for answers "out there".
And then came Mike Dooley...
I have followed Mike Dooley for years. I get his Notes From the Universe. I have a couple of his books, which I've barely read. I've listened to him speak on various online summits. But I've never studied with him About a year ago, I decided "No more courses." I was at a point in my life where I felt I was being told to quit looking for answers outside of myself, that I already had everything I needed, that I was enough, and that I needed to slow down, breathe, get out of my head and listen to my heart.
Then in December 2019, I heard about a course that Mike was offering, "Love Your Life 30 Day Project" and something gave me pause. Something about this one was calling to me, even though I had decided ages ago...No more courses!
I didn't jump in right away and say "Yes" as I often do. I sat with it for a few days. Like really, I do love my life... Why do I need this course? I had decided to quit looking for answers outside of myself. I finally decided to sign up because I felt that it was not so much of a course trying to teach me something new and give me answers, but it was more of a retreat, giving me activities to do, tools to use, for me to find my own answers. It started Jan. 1, 2020 and it was a great month of learning, exploring, discovering, creating, acting and sharing. Most importantly, it gave me some great tools.
Then I heard about Mike's Train the Trainer Conference in Costa Rica in April. I never really imagined going to Costa Rica, but I wrote it down on a mock calendar (one of the activities from January's course) and trusted what Mike said, "Playing make believe is the fastest way to believing, and believing is the fastest way to receiving." That was mid-January 2020.
And lo and behold, on March 13 I learned that the Train the Trainer Conference was going to be online for the first time ever! Amazing! Talk about manifesting!!! Not that I'd wish this corona virus on anyone, that's for sure, but being called to stay at home has brought blessings.
As Mike says, "By behaving as if your dream has already come true, you powerfully impact your thought processes and ultimately your belief system.
Whatever it is you want today, to the degree that it’s possible and feasible, act as if it’s already in your life.”

Take the steps towards our dreams and goals and leave the rest in God's hands. Don't worry about the "cursed" HOWS.
Interesting how my journey/dream has led me from wanting to serve God "out there", to me...coming Home to myself, going within, going deeper every time, learning to be of "service" to myself, to love myself, to listen to my heart and soul, to dream, to come Home.
Here's what I have learned...
I already have all the answers that I need. Sometimes I need outside help to help me go within. I started seeing a wise and gifted counsellor who has helped me take that journey within, one of the greatest distances that I will ever travel...the distance from my head to my heart. So much to discover. So much to feel, to heal, to let go of, to embrace. I need to be still, to breathe deeply, to nurture Joy-within-my-heart. I am learning the importance of "being" rather than "doing", that just being is enough.
