New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in Gemini: Supreme Protection

June 10 is huge with a New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in Gemini at 6:53 a.m. EDT. Solar eclipses reveal what's been right in front of us, but hidden from our view. This one is going to be powerful, and because it's in Gemini, the sign ruled by Mercury, the focus will be on communications, especially with others, learning, teaching and listening. It's a time to see the truth and make a new start. The real work is to embrace the truth that our heart wants us to know, to love it and make peace with it without shame or condemnation. We look back before we are able to move forward. With Mercury in retrograde, it's a time to re-visit, re-do, re-work, and renew. This Solar Eclipse in Gemini is an Annular Eclipse. Annular Eclipses are “special” Total Eclipses. The disk of the Moon totally covers the Sun just like in a Total Eclipse, but because the Moon is a bit farther away from the Earth than usual, there is a ring of Sun around the edge of the Moon, which looks like a halo. A halo has a deep spiritual meaning, symbolizing resurrection, or the idea that what is holy and divine (the light) cannot be overcome by darkness."
