Taurus Season is Here!
*
April 19, Mercury and our Sun enter the sign of Taurus. Tanaaz says, "Welcome to Taurus Season! We move out of fiery Aries into the more methodical earth sign of Taurus. Aries Season was busy and we may have felt that time was racing by quickly. We may have also started new projects or perhaps took on a lot more responsibility. Taurus Season gives us a chance to catch our breath and to work on establishing what is already on our plates. It’s a time to consolidate and to create a stable foundation for the future."
*
And so I asked Spirit, "What do Mercury and our Sun want us to know right now for our highest good as they enter the sign of Taurus?" and was gifted with...
IX - The Hermit
*
Guidewords: Time spent in peaceful meditation and meaningful solitude. Shine your light as an example to others. Seek out or become a spiritual mentor. Self-discovery.
*
Archangel Raziel waits for you at the top of the world. He holds a magical lantern to guide you to this place of spiritual awareness.
*
People naturally assume that the Hermit is alone. Well - surprise! - he's not. He's the great spiritual mentor at the top of the mountain holding up a light for other seekers below. This card can indicate the need to either find a mentor or become one. Which place are you at in your life? Are you seeking a teacher, or are you ready to teach? Of course, this card can indicate being alone, but it's more of a spiritual solitude that you choose for yourself. It's a desire to go inward and revisit some of the insights you discovered with the High Priestess. The card can also indicate a need for you to shine your light for others to see.
*
Additional meanings of this card: Self-discovery. Taking a peaceful break from society. Pondering the mysteries of life. Searching for enlightenment. Reconnecting with Source.
*
About the card: In traditional tarot, The Hermit is usually shown on a desolate, snow-covered mountain. Here he is on top of a mountain with these little Snowdrops, flowers that show up at the beginning of Spring and represent hope. The Hermit is shown shining his light for those who climb the hill to get his knowledge. Note the astrological sign for Virgo.
*
About Archangel Raziel: If the famous sorcerer Merlin had been an archangel, he would have been the very magical Raziel, who's definitely the wizard of the archangel realm. He can help you understand esoteric information, heal from past-life issues, or interpret your nighttime dreams. But like a spiritual mentor, he can be a bit demanding. If you call upon him, he'll expect you to work hard and regularly on your goals. His name means "the secrets of God," as he's said to sit at the throne of God, writing down all he hears. He shows up in rainbow colors (much like a prism), so if you start seeing rainbows everywhere you look, you may have just found yourself an angelic mentor.
