Welcome to Gemini Season!

May 20 at 3:37 p.m. EDT, our Sun moves into outgoing, energetic Gemini, the home of Mercury, sharing the sign with Mercury, Venus, and the North Node. And to top things off, the Sun aligns with the Pleiades star group, blessing us with powerful transformational energies and insights. Be sure to pay attention inner thoughts and feelings. The Pleiades Portal will peak and be at its strongest on May 20-21.

With the energy of the Twins, we may be more lively, versatile, playful and energetic, and find ourselves drawn to activities that favour communication, reading, writing, teaching, thinking and learning. We are motivated by curiosity and a desire for variety, often getting so excited by the possibilities that we see, that we can end up taking on many pursuits at the same time and end up overextending ourselves, appearing to be scattered and unreliable. So though we may thrive on multi-tasking, it's important to be mindful of the commitments we make to others, and remember to take care of our own needs first. We can't pour from an empty cup.

Our Virgo Moon favours big tasks that are time-consuming and require concentration. Virgos love cleanliness and order, so we may feel the need to organize our surroundings, clean closets, de-clutter, and complete chores. We may also feel drawn to work diligently, completing any projects that have been left undone. Watch out garden, here we come! Time to plant, weed and prune! Virgo's motto is "I analyze", so we may have a keen eye for the details that others have missed. Virgos also love to be of service, so we may find ourselves pitching in and feeling great satisfaction in helping out. We may also feel motivated to take our health more seriously, focussing on nutrition, diet, exercise so that our body feels and functions better. Let's be careful, though, of jumping into self-improvement schemes.

Gemini-Virgo are two of the highest strung signs in the zodiac, so this is not an easy energy. Gemini is speedy and likes to get everything done quickly. Virgo gets anxious under pressure, fearing that they might not do things perfectly. Pleasurable work, adaptability, balance between work and play

My efforts bring me joy. Play and work are not separate, because what I am doing is actually fun. If conditions change, I can switch gears easily. I am fully present in the excitement of creativity and am eager to experience the surprises that occur when seeds I have planted take root, sprout, and develop in unexpected ways. This is a time for flexibility and trust in how the universe will shape what is coming into being. One way or another, my dreams manifest in the material world.

Balancing work and play. 2 of Earth reminds us to be light, to bring a lightheartedness into play. We have our own ideas and actions, but we also get to play with other people too. We collaborate with others. It's about having good boundaries and a common mission.

2 of Earth may also be about something happening that is unexpected, and to not let it be so serious that we feel sidetracked. It's to say, "That's interesting!" and be playful and curious. This is a time for flexibility and trust and adaptability, and how the Universe will shape what will come into being. One way or another, our dreams manifest in the material world. What is ours will not go past us.
